T2W4 Weekend / T2W5 Weekly HW

Homework due on Mon 21/4:

1) Phy: Corrections for CA1 & Working for Online Quiz (from e-Learning)

2) Phy: Chap 5 Assignment Feedback + Chap 6 Kinematics Supplementary WS Qns 2-7

3) Chem: For those who failed Chemical Bonding CA, submit your RP with thought process for every Qn.

4) Math: Hand in Graphing Techniques 1 Tut (with Assignment) + Conics Assignment Qns

5) Geog: Complete 16m essay on 'assessing the effectiveness of strategies for the prediction and mitigation of volcanic hazards'.

6) Geog: Complete both Volcano and Earthquake Summary Tables.

7) GP: Construct 4 Paragraphs (2 from e-Learning and the ones we did in class) for Steph Micalye's arguments. Do take note of the feedbacks from your peers.

8) GP: Find 1 article about the value of education to a particular society (eg. Education in Nazi Germany or Education in LDCs) and summarise in the form of bullet points

9) PW: Please work on your Ideas - also remember that there is PW e-Learning.

CJC e-Learning Day Tasks (Wed 16/4):

1) Phy: CA1 review on COL@C. Please watch video and do corrections for your 2nd attempt. In addition, please also attempt the online quiz, showing your workings in hardcopy. These working and the 2nd attempt of CA1 with corrections will be submitted on Mon 21/4.

2) Chem: Refer to COL@C for what you need to do on gaseous state. Do at least Section 1-4 in order. Complete tasks by 11pm sharp.

3) Math: Conics Self-Learning Topic. Complete each of the Quizzes 1-4 after watching the respective videos. Follow the instructions and take note of the deadlines.

4) Chinese: Login to IMTL Portal (Username: NRIC, Password: Password-1) at imtl.sg. The tasks will be there on the day itself.

5) GP: Watch the Steph Micalye video and construct 2 paragraphs + Provide feedback on 1 of your peers' post.

6) PW: PI Draft 3 due at 3pm for some of your.


Homework due on Thurs 17/4:

1) Chem: AMS Redox & VA Assignment (Qns 1-6) with thought process + corrections done

2) Geog: Complete Tut 4 Table 1 (all the case studies of volcanoes)

3) GP: A Google Docs folder that can be seen and changed by anyone will be created. Each student is to take 1 article out of the 9 articles mentioned from the package and do the following:

- List of main claims/arguments (Summary Practice - Need to Paraphrase)
- What is the authors' POV?
- Are there other POVs that he/she has not considered?
- What evidence/data/events/statistics/trends are used to support the author's claims?

4) Geog e-Learning: Access online course on COL@C and follow relevant instructions. Complete task(s) by 23 59.

T2W2 Weekend / T2W3 Weekly HW

Note: New HW from T2W3 itself will be added in Green Colour.

Please attempt the CA questions again after reviewing Chapters 1-4 of Lecture Notes. Do your best to complete the questions in detailed reasoning style (according to the paper she gave us). Attend the Phy Consultation on Tues with questions to ask if you really don't know how to do.

In addition, please always remember to do your corrections. Answers can be obtained from COL@C.

Please also remember to plan your revision schedule for the upcoming MYEs.


Homework due on Mon 7/4:

1) Phy: Chap 5 Momentum Tut Qns 11, 13, 14 & 15

2) Chem: Chemical Bonding Assignment due: Tut Qns 1-18 

- Not sure need to do Q19 or not - she did not put in her weekly email
- Check answers by watching video on COL@C for Q11, 12, 16 and mark before submitting. Do your corrections too!

3) Chem: Marked Dot-and-Cross Diagram WS to be submitted along with assignment

- Check that you have drawn the diagrams and also write down the shapes of the molecules.

4) Geog: Complete Tut 2 Essay Qn 3 and Tut 3 Qn 1 before tutorial.

5) GP: Do your 1-2 paragraphs (with the correct structure) for 1 of the points of your essay outline.

- Complete the summary with paraphrasing for the article on 'What the Mass Media Do' *
- Find 2 sources on Youth (Articles, Advertisements, Posters, Song Lyrics, etc.) *
- Complete the outline of your essays on 'Image is Everything...' *

3) Math: Try Example 3 (b) of Functions Topic in Lecture Notes (Pg 22)

4) GP: Staple the following items together and submit by 9am tomorrow.

- Summary for Article on 'What The Mass Media Do'
- 2 Sources on Youth (Your articles, posters, song lyrics, etc.)
- Outline for Essay on 'Image is Everything...'
- Your 1-2 paragraphs on one of your points in the outline (topic sentence).
